These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Leptin mobile application, website, platform, services, features, and related technology ("Leptin", "the App", "the Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms.

1. Definitions

• "User" means any individual who accesses or uses the Service.
• "We", "Us", "Our", "Company" refers to the operator of Leptin.
• "Content" includes text, recommendations, insights, AI-generated responses, images, or other materials provided within the App.
• "Personal Data" means any information relating to an identifiable individual as defined under applicable privacy laws.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the App. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you confirm that you have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

3. Health & Safety Disclaimer

Leptin does NOT provide medical advice.

All information, fasting insights, nutritional suggestions, exercise recommendations, or coaching guidance provided in the App—whether generated by humans, AI, or algorithms—is for general wellness, educational, and informational purposes only. The Service does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

You agree that:

• Leptin is not a substitute for professional medical or mental health advice.
• You will not disregard or delay seeking medical advice because of information provided by the App.
• You will stop fasting, exercising, or following any recommendation if you feel unwell.
• Certain individuals—including but not limited to those who are pregnant, underweight, have eating disorders, heart conditions, diabetes (especially Type 1), or other chronic illnesses—must consult a clinician before fasting.

If the App detects risk factors or concerning symptoms, it may advise you to seek medical care immediately. This does not constitute medical diagnosis.

4. AI-Generated Content

Leptin uses machine-learning and artificial intelligence models ("AI Features"). AI Features may provide recommendations—but these may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate for your personal health circumstances. You agree:

• AI content is provided "as-is" without guarantees.
• You will use human judgment and consult qualified professionals when needed.
• We may store and analyse anonymized or aggregated content to improve AI performance.

5. User Accounts & Security

• You must provide accurate information during registration.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You agree not to share your account or impersonate any person or entity.

6. User Responsibilities

You agree NOT to:

• Use the Service for unlawful purposes.
• Attempt to harm, overload, reverse engineer, or disrupt the Service.
• Upload harmful or inappropriate content.
• Use the App while engaging in dangerous activities (e.g., driving).

6A. Duty to Provide Accurate and Complete Information

To deliver safe and suitable fasting, nutritional, and exercise guidance, the App relies on accurate, honest, and complete information about your health status, symptoms, menstrual cycle (if applicable), goals, activity levels, and other relevant details.

By using the Service, you agree that:

• You will provide truthful, complete, and up-to-date information.
• You will not intentionally misrepresent, omit, or falsify information.
• You understand that incorrect or incomplete information may result in inappropriate, ineffective, or potentially unsafe recommendations.
• You take full responsibility for the consequences of providing inaccurate or incomplete information.

Leptin reserves the right to limit, suspend, or terminate access if deliberate misinformation or omission is detected.

7. User Content

You may log fasting sessions, meals, exercise, health conditions, menstrual cycle details, notes, and other records ("User Content"). You retain ownership over all User Content.

You grant Leptin a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to:

• Store, process, and display your User Content for the purpose of providing the Service.
• Create anonymized or aggregated data for analytics, research, and product improvement.

We will never sell identifiable user data. Aggregated or anonymized data may be shared with partners or researchers.

8. Privacy & Data Protection

Your privacy is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have reviewed the Privacy Policy.

9. Third-Party Services

The App may integrate with third-party services such as analytics tools, AI providers, authentication services, and cloud hosting. We are not responsible for the terms, actions, or omissions of third parties.

10. Intellectual Property

All proprietary rights in the Service—including branding, algorithms, AI prompts, training data (excluding user data), text, design, logos, software, and content—belong to the Company or its licensors.

11. Payments and Subscriptions

Some features may require payment. Subscription terms, renewal periods, and refund rules will be presented at point of purchase. Failure to pay may result in suspension of premium features.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service if you violate these Terms or engage in harmful behaviour. You may delete your account at any time using in-app settings.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Company from any claims, liabilities, damages, expenses, or losses arising from your use of the App or your breach of these Terms, including providing inaccurate or incomplete information.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Company shall not be liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages;
• Loss of data, income, reputation, or profits;
• Health issues arising from fasting, dietary changes, exercise, or reliance on inaccurate user-provided information.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Company is incorporated, unless otherwise required by consumer protection laws in your region.

16. Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted within the App. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
